WELCOME TO MOORPARK WRESTLING MISSION STATEMENT The Moorpark Wrestling program strives to provide a comprehensive, safe, competitive, organized, and effective interscholastic program. The program affords opportunities to encourage and develop good citizenship and sportsmanship through the enhancement of physical excellence in conjunction with team spirit, hard work, dedication, and cooperation. ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY California Interscholastic Federation, the governing body of all California High School athletics, requires all student athletes to maintain a grade point average of 2.0 or higher, with no more than two F’s. Any athlete that falls below these standards, after the closing of the grading period before or during season, is required to immediately turn in all issued gear and withdraw themselves from practice and competition. The wrestling staff expects that Moorpark High School Wrestlers strive for higher standards of education. All team members are expected to maintain a grade point average of 2.5 or higher, with no F’s. Any team member that falls below these standards is required to attend after school tutoring. All team members are to provide the coaching staff with a weekly progress report. Each case will be handled individually and with confidentiality.
